Former slave laborers are repatriated. Soldiers of the 83rd Division, Ninth U.S. Army, are shown May 12, 1945, escorting a former slave laborer to a train which will taken her back to her home country from Braunschweig, Germany where she was a prisoner. Now that Germany has surrendered unconditionally, former slave laborers from France, Belgium, Holland, Russia and Poland are being repatriate from Braunschweig at the rate of about 1,200 a day by Allied officials and liaison workers.
