Walter Hotz (1917-1974) was born in 1917. He studied law and worked as a court official (Amtsgerichtsrat). He was an associate judge at the First Frankfurt Auschwitz trial. He died in 1974. He was one of the cameramen who recorded daily coverage of the Eichmann trial in Jerusalem (produced by Capital Cities Broadcasting Corp and later held academic positions in Israel and New York teaching filmmaking at universities.
