The bulk of the material consists of documents from the office of the State Secretary to the Reich Protector (according to file markings) and therefore mostly dates from 1939-1943, i.e. from before the appointment of K. H. Frank as German State Minister for Bohemia and Moravia. The fonds is an important source for research on the history of the Protectorate from its establishment until August 1943. The materials can be divided into several subject headings, although they do not occur together in this way, one of which is the arization of Jewish property. These include, for example, signatures 109-4/1116: valuation of Jewish jewellery held by the Evacuation Fund for Bohemia and Moravia through Dorothea in Vienna (1943), 109-4/1230 to 1232: arization of several Jewish businesses in the Protectorate, 109-4/1346: implementation guidelines for the evacuation of Jews, confiscation and expropriation of their property, report on the confiscation of enemy property by the Gestapo headquarters in Prague dated December 1, 1942, 109-4/1493: report on confiscated works of art dated June 8, 1943, 109-7/82: questionnaires for SS members applying to manage or purchase selected Jewish businesses. The Office of the State Secretary to the Reich Protector was a direct part of the Reich Protector's Office in Bohemia and Moravia. From April 1939 to August 1943, the post of State Secretary was held by a Sudeten German, Karl Hermann Frank. He was responsible for the general representation of the Reich Protector in the management of the entire office. As State Secretary to the Reich Protector, he was also a senior SS and police commander in Bohemia and Moravia, but he apparently only had one filing office. The State Secretary's office ceased to function after the issuance of Decree A. Hitler's decree on the German Minister of State for Bohemia and Moravia on 20 August 1943, which appointed Frank. The new office, called the German State Ministry for Bohemia and Moravia, took over the organisational structure and powers of the Office of the Reich Protector in Bohemia and Moravia.
