America at war. U.S. soldiers operate railroad in Iran to speed war goods to Russia. An American soldier, formerly a railroad emplyee in the U.S., travels by hand car over the Iranian Railroad, inspecting the tracks for breaks and weaknesses. He is assistant supervisor for inspection on the rail line operated by the U.S. Army to carry American supplies destined for Russia. The tracks are under constant inspection because of the tremendous loads of war supplies they must carry day after day. American troops load lend-lease goods on freight trains traveling to Teheran, the capital of Iran, where the Russians take charge and relay the supplies to the Soviet Union.
