U.S. BOMBERS BLAST GERMAN PORT. Flying Fortresses and Liberators of the Eight U.S. Air Force trail streams of vapor in their wake high over the European Continent on their way to attack U-boat yards, docks and factories at the German port of Bremen November 25, 1943. The heavy bombers, among the largest force over sent out by the Eight Air Force, and their escorts of U.S. Thunderbolts and Lightnings shot down 55 German fighter planes during the daylight operation.
