U.S. BOMBERS FLY ABOVE STORM TO BLAST GERMAN PORT OF BREMEN Flying Fortress bombers of the Eight U.S. Army Air Force fly above storm clouds as they roar toward Bremen, Germany's second largest port city, with cargoes of bombs to blast submarine docks and other military installations, this attack was one of a series made against Bremen in November, 1943, showing that Winter storms and icing conditions could not protect German cities from Allied aerial blows.
