Pamoesian oilfields, Tarakan Island, resume production. A section of the Pamoesian oilfields after the area had been recaptured by the Allied forces in May, 1945. In the foreground can be seen the twisted roof of one of the storage tanks which were completely destroyed, while in the lee of oil derricks stil standing can be seen some tanks which were burnt out during the fighting. During the Japanese occupation of Tarakan some additional wells were sunk in this area. NI 7263
