U.S. planes release bombs on shouthern Hokkaido targets. TBM's (Martin torpedo bombers) and SB20's (Curtis dive bombers), operating from carriers of the U.S. Third Fleet, release their bomb loads on military installations at Hakodate, southern Hokkaido, on the Japanese Mainland, on July 14, 1945.
