The collection consists of school insignia, documents, and photographs relating to the experiences of Laura Scheer before and during the Holocaust in Podhajce and Rohatyn, Poland.

Photocopies of documents relating the the Mayer and Mane families.

Consists of a black and white photograph of a group of men in prisoners' uniforms standing near a cart containing corpses. Beside the cart are two prisoners carrying a stretcher with a corpse. The donor found the photograph in a book purchased at Goodwill in San Diego, CA.

Laura Selo was the oldest of three sisters who were brought up in a middle class assimilated Jewish family in Berlin. The family later moved to Prague and the girls came to Great Britain on one of the 'Nicholas Winton' trains. Grete Gumpel, Laura's mother perished in a mass grave in Chelmno on 15 May 1942. Laura's father managed to escape to Great Britain and was intened during the war.
