The persecution of the Norwegian Jews in WW II
This publication is an enhancement of the section "The Persecution of Jews" in the museum guidebook. Before the German invasion of Norway in 1940 there were more than 1,800 Jews in the country. 925 managed to escape to Sweden; 760 "racial Jews" were deported by the Nazis to Auschwitz in 1942; most of the others were exterminated in the Norwegian camps Berg and Grini.
