Abyssinian commander kneels in submission. One of the most dramatic pictures of the Italo-Abyssinia conflict, showing Haile Selassie Gugsa, Ras of Makale and son-in-law of the Emperor, kneeling before General de Bono, the Italian Commander in Chief, after he had deserted to Italy with 12,000 men and 100 machine guns.
