Contains a narrative about Yochanan Dreifuss that concerns the efforts of a German high office who asssisted the author's parents escape from Vienna and his father's release from the Buchenwald concentration camp.

The collection consists of correspondence, documents, and newspapers related to the experience of Wilhelm Baumann and his parents before and during the Holocaust in Austria, and Wilhelm's emigration to the United Kingdom in 1939, and deportation to Australia in 1940, and his subsequent release from interment camps and emgration to the United States. The colletion also includes artwork.

The papers consist of seven photographs of refugees at the displaced persons camp, Bad Reichenhall, and on the military transport ship, "General McCray," which was headed for the United States in October 1949, as well as release papers from the Bad Reichenhall DP camp and a Polish repatriation document.

Contains a photocopy of letter, five pages, written by Harry (Heinz) Krieger (born 1922, Munich; died 2015, Plainview, NY) to his grandchildren about his experiences in Germany as child; the rise of Hitler; Kristallnacht; beating and arrest, release, and escape to England on a Kindertransport; and eventual immigration to the United States with his parents in 1939.
