Consists of three photographs from the collection of Israel Harvey Eisen, a member of the 15th Army Air Force. Includes two photographs of Eisen while he was in training in Florida and Alabama 1943, and a formal group photograph of members of the 15th Army Air Force in Foggia, Italy.

Israel Berkenwald (1923-2009) was born on 2 April 1923 to Efroim Menashe (1883-1943) and Leia (née Grossman, 1885-1943) Berkenwald in Łódź, Poland. Israel, the youngest of five children, had three sisters, Sala (1905-1944), Dora (1908-1943), and Roza (1914-1944), and a brother Mendel (1921-1942). Israel Sjouwerman was deported to Mechelen Malines transit camp near Brussels, Belgium, in 1942. On September 12, 1942, he was deported to Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp where upon arrival on September 14 1942, all but 45 men on the convoy were gassed.
