Dutch villagers retrieve church bells. U.S. soldiers watch Dutch civilians retrieve the bells of their church from a canal where they had been hidden, during the Nazi occupation of their town, to avoid confiscation. Two hours after the bells were lifted from the water, they were hoisted and once again ringing in the church belltower.
