Locomotive of last war still in use. American troops, members of a railroad battalion, are shown with an engine which was brought over to France in 1917 and is still in use. The engine, which was found by these men, required only miner repairs before they were able to use it to haul supplies in Normandy.

Allied war supplies roll from Antwerp to front. Belgian dock workers unload Allied signal equipment from the hold of an American Liberty ship docked in Antwerp. The equipment will be sped to inland marshalling yards over ABC convoy routes.

Allied supplies roll into France. Out of the holds, down the ramps of Allied landing ships, supplies roll onto a beachhead in France and over roadways constructed by U.S. Army engineers and U.S. Navy construction battalions for Allied troops pushing inland on the Continent. D-Day anniversary in Normandy. One year after the D-Day landings of the Allied Expeditionary Force on the beaches of Normandy, France, June 6, 1944, the first Liberty ship to reach Cherbourg flying the French flag and carrying supplies from the U.S. for the French people is unloaded at a dock in the port. The harbor has been restored after its destruction during the liberation.
