U.S. troops enter Hamburg. Infantrymen of the 63rd. Infantry Division, Seventh U.S. Army, march into war-wrecked Hamburg, a German town in the Sear basin which was captured March 21, 1945, after a 10-mile advance which notted 1,500 Nazi prisoners. Hamburg is 15 miles northeast of Saarbrucken, Saarland capital which was cleared of the enemy March 20.
