The collection consists of prewar photographs and postwar sculptures created by Daisy Schweiger Brand relating to her experiences of life of pre and postwar Czechoslovakia and in Auschwitz-Birkenau, Kaiserwald, Dondagen II, Libau, Stutthof, and Buchenwald concentration camps during the Holocaust.

Testimony, typescript, four pages, describing Katz's experience in a village near Kassel, deportation to Riga in 1941, the Kaiserwald and Stutthof camps, liberation, migration to US Zone of Germany, and eventual unification with family of sister and immigration to US.

The envelope was sent by Rosa Goldberg from Millergasse 12.-16, Kassel, Germany to Morris Moidel at 4 Equality Park, W. Newport, RI, USA. The Moidel family were friends of the Goldberg family in Kassel and managed to get visas and immigrate to the United States before the war. The envelope bears four stamps of German National Insignia, encircled with "Oberkommando der Wermacht." The word "Geöffnet" ...
