A typical Dutch officer of the K.P.M. vessel 'Janssens', which is attached to the Royal Netherlands Navy as a submarine supply ship. Early in 1942 she was attached to the Merchant Navy and received world-wide publicity for her part in evacuating wounded Americans and civilians from Java. K.P.M.
