Ustasha Surveillance Service (UNS) served as intelligence, counter-intelligence and the secret police during the ISC which was responsible to the Main Ustasha Secretariat (Glavni ustaški stan). UNS was formed through the merge of the Ustasha Intelligence Service and the Concentration camps administration through a law that was adopted on 16 August 1941 in the Independent State of Croatia.

The collection was formed by a special Committee during the former Yugoslavia, which was tasked to preserve and arrange records mainly related to the Communist struggle against Axis powers and their collaborators (Ustasha and Chetniks) during the Second World War.

Collection includes records from sources including the departmental committee on the liberation of the region; and the cabinet of the prefecture and the sub-prefecture at Prades.
