Originally from Kalisz, Poland, Ruth spent the war in hiding as Vislava (Viesha) Serafinska in Pruszków, Poland. Her parents and sister were deported from the Sandomierz ghetto in 1942 and perished in Belzec. Ruth Marks emigrated to Israel in 1947.
