The black and white portrait depicts Yente Rachel Borowsky, Allen Borowsky's cousin, who perished during the Holocaust in 1942. Inscription in Yiddish on verso reads: "This is our dear brother's daughter Yente Rachel Borowsky. Killed by Hitler in 1942."

The New Year card bears an oval shaped portrait of Murray Weglinski on the right. The text reads: "L'shana Tovah Tikatevu" (New Years Greetings), printed in Hebrew letters in the ceter. There is also a Star of David with an image of the sun and palm trees on the left. The card was created while Murray Weglinski was in Eschwege, Germany.

George Kadish, born Zvi (Hirsh) Kadushin (1910- 1997), was a Lithuanian Jewish photographer who documented life in the Kovno Ghetto during the Holocaust. Prior to World War II he was a mathematics, science and electronics teacher at a Hebrew High School in Kovno, Lithuania. As a hobby, Kadish was a photographer. Emil Knebel was a cinematographer known for Andante (2010), Adam (1973), and Wild Is My Love (1963). He was one of the cameramen who recorded daily coverage of the Eichmann trial in Jerusalem (produced by Capital Cities Broadcasting Corp and later held academic positions in Israel and New York teaching filmmaking at universities.
