Each contains personal documents confiscated by the Aufnahme (camp administration) at the SS-Sammellager Mecheln (Dossin barracks) upon arrival of a detainee at the barracks. Achim Frank was born in Leipzig in 1935, as the son of Johannes Gerhard Frank (Dresden, 1905) and Johanna Brandt. Johannes Frank had been a policeman in Dresden since 1925.
