The photograph depicts members of the Rotfeld family during the visit of a cousin from Paris, France, shortly before the German invasion of Poland. Seated from left to right are: Mr. Rotfeld, Etta, Mrs. Rotfeld, Heniek, and Mr. Stark. Both Heniek and Mr. and Mrs. Rotfeld perished in the Holocaust.

Describes Liselotte Kahn’s childhood in Germany; her marriage to Dr. Ernst Müller and the birth of their sons; Nazi antisemitism; their immigration to Greece; her husband's medical practice in Athens, Greece; the Italian and German invasion of Greece; their escape to Palestine; and their immigration to and experiences in the United States in 1941.

Consists of testimony, 26 pages, in German, written in 1993 in the form of a letter by Eugenia Goldberg, originally of Liepāja, Latvia. She describes life under Russian occupation in Liepāja and in Riga, the German invasion, and her wartime attempts to survive. She also mentions the experiences of her extended family, as well as of George Schwab, who her husband, Julius Goldberg, aided.

Maurice Rinde was born in 1902 in Przemyśl, Poland, and was the youngest of seven children born to Orthodox Jews, Joseph and Amalia Rinde. His wife, Stella, whom he married in 1933, grew up in Tarnów, the youngest of three children. The Rindes had a son John (b. 1935) and daughter Irene (b. 1937).
