William Margolis served as a medical officer with the U.S. army during World War II. He served as part of the liberation of the Mauthausen concentration camp in 1945, and helped adminsiter medical treatment to survivors.

The papers consist of five photographs taken by Ross M. Snowdon, a Master Sergeant in the 11th Armored Division, after the liberation of Mauthausen concentration camp in 1945 and a booklet about the history of the 11th Armored Division during World War II.

The provisional identification card ("Ausweis") was issued after liberation to former Mauthausen internee Abraham Kaner.

Harold Gilman (1917-1999) was born in Denver, CO, and served with the United States Army 11th Armored Division. In May 1945, the division liberated the Mauthausen and Gusen concentration camps in Austria. Gilman used his camera to document the camps.

The Sidney Etkin collection contains documents obtained by Etkin during his time treating prisoners from the recently liberated Mauthausen-Gusen camp in June, 1945. The documents contain statements made by Franz Zeireis, the commandant of the camp. Consists of one untitled manuscript, 74 pages, by Louis Croy. The manuscript relates a history of the Mauthausen concentration camp and of the Mauthausen trials; the author participated in the liberation of the camp and also assisted with the interrogation of the defendants in the subsequent trials.

The identification card states that Eugene Patipa, born on December 29, 1922 in Minsk, CSR, was in Mauthausen Concentration Camp from April 8, 1945 to May 4, 1945.
