The collection consists of pre-war and post-war depictions of the Posner family, including Salomon Posner and his wife Sabina Posner, and their daughter Ester Tusia Posner, both of whom perished during the Holocaust. Also includes photographs of Salomon's son Gideon (b. 1948) and his second wife Janka Raduszycka.

Minasz (Menashe) Sankiewicz was born in Warsaw in 1924. He worked as a tailor. His parents were Smul and Fajga Sankiewicz (née Abramovicz). He was deported from Warsaw ghetto to Majdanek concentration camp and on to camps in Jaworzno, Sachsenhausen and later Buchenwald. Bluma Krzepicka was born Blima Kawałek on March 15, 1927 in Zduńska Wola, Poland. Her father, Szaja Mojsze Kawałek, owned a butcher shop and her mother, Iska Markowicz, took care of the children.
