Summary: The German viewpoint of events prior to and during the Polish campaign. Reel 7: shows masses of abandoned equipment and Polish POWs. German and Russian units meet. Hitler poses in front of besieged Warsaw. German armor and infantry enter the city after its capitulation.

The collection consists of five photographs of the proceedings of the Nazi war crimes trials at Nuremburg and Dachau, Germany; one photograph of refugees on the ship "Medina Yehudit" attempting to enter Haifa, Palestine, on December 3, 1947; and a photograph of a little girl waving Israeli and American flags in front of a kosher butcher store in Pittsburgh, Pa., on July 2, 1948.

John Coulston was a captain with the 602nd U.S. Tank Destroyer Battalion during World War II. The unit participated in the Battle of the Bulge and was the first unit to enter Ohrdruf. In later years Coulston served as the historian for the 602nd US Tank Destroyer Battalion.
