The collection comprises i.a.the extensive correspondence in connection with the destruction and liquidation of synagogues during the Kristallnacht, 9-10 November 1938, and other antisemitic incidents; documents of the Związek Żydów Polskich (Union of Polish Jews) and other materials (file with the call no. 1963, Wydział I [Department I]).

Testimony. Typescript, about 75 pages, with index and copied documents, titled "My Memoir," by Bertha Frank Zimmer, dated 1985. Recounts her experiences in Cologne, Germany; her engagement to her husband (postponed after he was arrested following Kristallnacht); escape to Holland; internment at Westerbork after German occupation; and deportation to Theresienstadt.

This collection comprises press cuttings from the British and European press in the immediate aftermath of the November Pogroms in Germany, 1938.

Testimonies, containing both German and English versions of memoir by Fred Hertz, titled "Four Hundred Forty Six Years and Ten Days," about life of Hertz family and relatives in Coesfeld, Germany, experiences after Nazis came to power, Kristallnacht, and emigration to Palestine via the Netherlands.

Charles Gross (later Karl Grosz, Vienna, Austria, 1911 - ) was born to Jewish parents. He emigrated to the United States in 1939.

This collection of miscellaneous testimonies and reports were originally arranged for inclusion in the Wiener Library's 'Eyewitness Accounts' series but were never included (hence the former reference numbers).</p><p>Information regarding provenance, where known, is included in the description to individual reports.

Photocopies of oversize pages of a prisoner register from Wolfenbuetel Prison in Lower Saxony where the Jewish deportees from the region (Braunschweig, Luenburg, etc.) were registered by the Gestapo and held November 10-11, 1938. There are also some arrests from before and after Kristallnacht listed.

Consists of two photographs taken on November 9, 1938 in Oldenburg, Germany. The photographs depict the Nazis arresting Jewish men in Oldenburg as part of the Kristallnacht pogrom. The men were then taken to the Sachsenhausen concentration camp.
