Paris sights and the Folies Bergere
Julius Blatt (1917-2002, Jewish) was a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army from 1942 to 1946. He served as Plans and Intelligence Officer. He led an advance party into Nuremberg and into Munich to obtain National Socialist Party secret documents and for this service was awarded a Bronze Star medal. He was also part of the crew that liberated Dachau. After combat, he served as commander in Paris controlling all prisoner of war labor - 60,000 personnel - in all warehouse, ordnance, and engineer shops. He lived in England after the war.
