Dedication of the Rapoport monument to the Warsaw ghetto uprising

A long line of people walk through the ruins of the Warsaw ghetto on the fifth anniversary of the Warsaw ghetto uprising. Some of the people hold wreaths and banners with Yiddish writing. There are students, men in military uniforms, and a Zionist youth group, among others. 00:03:10 Close-up of a young man in a helmet and uniform holding a rifle. Groups lay wreaths in a church (?). More shots of the parade as it walks past important streets in the former ghetto. The crowd pauses for the unveiling of a plaque at the Umschlagplatz before continuing on. 00:05:47 Brief pan of the ruins of the ghetto. More youth groups marching, holding flags. The narrator notes that the Jewish people still live and that the youth are marching into the future. The crowd reaches the spot where the monument to the Warsaw ghetto uprising, designed by Nathan Rapoport, is to be unveiled. Panning shots of the crowd. Rabbis with a Torah say prayers in front of the monument. Several men (named by the narrator) give speeches. Marek Edelman, a member of the Warsaw ghetto resistance, stands behind the speakers. The monument is unveiled; more speeches follow, including from a man in a Polish military uniform and Sydney Silverman, a member of the British parliament. Close-up shots of the figures on the monument. Marek Edelman was a commander of the Warsaw ghetto uprising and a member of Zukunft, the youth movement of the Bund. He unveils a monument to the ghetto fighters (not the Rapoport monument).
