In March 1943, 20-year old Ovadia Barum was deported with his family from Greece to Auschwitz-Birkenau. His family was sent to the gas chambers. Ovadia survived and was liberated from the Mauthausen concentration camp in May 1945. In Auschwitz he met Aliza Tzarfati.
