A memorial book dedicated to the memory of Jewish residents of Oldenburg who were victims of the Holocaust. Pp. 6-7 list the names of 167 Jews and the places where they were murdered; pp. 9-48 present photographs of the victims. Pp. 59-159 contain short biographies of all Jewish residents registered in Oldenburg between 1933-45. In 1933 at least 316 persons living in the town were considered Jewish according to Nazi legislation; in 1940 only a few remained, who were partners in mixed marriages. Reports on 270 Jews who succeeded in emigrating between 1933-41. Includes bibliographical references (pages 205-211). 212 pages : illustrations ; 24 cm
