Betrifft: "Aktion 3" : Deutsche verwerten jüdische Nachbarn : Dokumente zur Arisierung
The catalog of an exhibition held at the Stadtmuseum Düsseldorf, 29 October 1998 through 10 January 1999. Discusses the expropriation and Aryanization of Jewish property in Nazi Germany. States that before deportation the competent authorities informed every Jew that his belongings were the legal property of the state. Apartments were emptied and rented out. Schools bought furniture; the university of Bonn acquired books; Aryans provided themselves with carpets, goods, and clothing, transported from Belgium, the Netherlands, and France, and auctioned at fairgrounds in Köln and other places. Although it was clearly indicated that the goods were Jewish, Germans had no scruples about such "legal affairs". Pp. 77-253 contain facsimilies of regulations, orders, receipts, and other documents. 1. Aufl. 256 pages : illustrations, facsimiles
