Das Echo : Widerhall auf Simon Wiesenthal

Presents a speech made by Wiesenthal in Bonn-Bad Godesberg in January 1979 (pp. 16-31), the text of a documentary film by Hans Dieter Grabe which was broadcast on the German television channel ZDF in March 1978, as part of the series "beschrieben und vergessen", entitled "Simon Wiesenthal oder Ich jagte Eichmann" (pp. 32-53), an interview with Grabe by Rolf Vogel (pp. 54-59), as well as private and press reactions to both the above events. Pp. 118-154 present the debate which took place in the Bundestag in July 1979 regarding the statute of limitations for prosecuting Nazi crimes. This issue was raised by Wiesenthal in his Bonn speech, along with its connection to the relationship between East and West Germany. 154 pages ; 21 cm.
