Three of the hundreds of women internees who spent three and a half years in the notorious Japanese Tjideng Camp, Batavia, Java, without any sanitary or washing facilities, and the minimum of rations. The women in this camp denied themselves of everything excepting the living necessities in order that the children could at least exist on the food which was grudgingly thrown to them by the Japanese.
