The navy in action. A detachcment from H.M.S. Excellent in active training for the Gun Drill competition to be featured in the Royal Naval and Military Tournament opening shortly in London. The competing teams go through the whole operation of dismantling their field gun, slinging the heavy sections across a ravine by one steelcable, and re-assembling and bringing the gun into action on the other side. Members of the gun team are seen being hamled across the ravine and carrying the heavy gun wheels.
