Hugo Sperrle, ex-field marshal of the german air corps, sits remorsefully in the defendants dock of the high command case at Nuremburg during a morning recess of court. The 63-year-old defendant was in command from 1936 to 1937 of german troops of the condor legion in Spain. After Spain he took command of an air group and in 1939 became commander in chief of air fleet 3 which bombed london during the blitz.
