U.S. air crew receives Chinese award. Crew members of the American plane which carried Madame Chiang Kai-shek, wife of the Chinese President, to Chungking, China, after her visit to the U.S. in July, 1943, are presented with the Order of the Clouds for valuable service rendered to China at ceremonies held at the Chinese Embassy in Washington, the U.S. capital. In the foreground, Major General P.T. Mow of the Chinese Air Force (left) congratulates Flight Engineer K.M. Blossom while other crew members, all of them employees of the Transcontinental and Western Airline flying for the U.S. Army Transport Command, are lined up to receive the award.
