Indian workers turn propeller of U.S. fighter plane. Workers of Ceylon, India, whirl the propeller of a U.S. Corsair fighter plane at a base of the British Fleet Air Arm preparatory to an Allied sea-air offensive against Japanese targets in the Netherlands East Indies. Corsairs used by the British FAA and planes from an American aircraft carrier in Indian waters joined in attacking the Japanese objectives. India's support of the United Nations war effort has made it a center of Allied war activities in the Asiatic theater. India's vast resources in man and material, and her continually expanding industrial capacity are helping seal the enemy's doom.
