Turkey is ready too... Istanbul (Constantinople), Turkey's great European city, has organised full passive defence measures which have been given a full trail on August 19, when for a time the city assumed wartime conditions. Even the needle points of the Minarets of the Mos Mosque were equiped with anti-aircraft guns. Gas masked Turks watch bombers fly over one of the mosques of Istanbul on August 19.
