Flour loaded for trip to Anzio and trence to Rome. U.S. soldiers, at an Allied base in the Mediterranean war theater, load thousands of sacks of flour onto thrucks for transportation to the Anzio area on the west coast of Italy from where troops of the Allied Fifth Army ripped through German defenses and joined in the drive to liberate Rome. Milk, flour and other food in Alllied army storehouses have been distributed to Italian civilians in liberated areas, while Allied officials have set up relief stations to feed and clothe the men, women and children in Italy who were made destitute under German occupation.
