Enthusiastic Americans at U.S. Army headquarters in liberated Oslo, Norway, join the Norwegian people in celebrating the return of King Haakon, June 7, 1945, by throwing paper streamers from the windows and balcony of the building. Exactly five years previously - June 7, 1940 - King Haakon left Norway for London on a British cruiser to carry on the fight against the Germans.
