Daughter of Norwegian artist marries free Norway diplomat. Mr. Knut Thommessen, of the Free Norway Ministry of Foreign Affairs in London, is seen with this bride, the former Miss Sonja Lie, daughter of the late Norwegian artist, Jonas Lie, after their marriage in New York City, August 1942. A few close friends attended the marriage, among them Wilhelm Munthe de Morgenstierne, Norwegian Ambassador to the United States, and Mme. Morgenstierne, and the Norwegian Consul General in New York and Mme. Rolf Christiansen. Dr. Edward Hambre, son of Carl J. Hambre, former President of the Norwegian Parliament, was best man for Mr. Thommessen.
