Powerful new U.S. Tug built for Allied landing operations. A new U.S. tug, the powerful Ingals Sea Mule, is launched by a crane in a U.S. port. It is 42 feet (12.6 meters) long, and 15 feet (4.5meters) broad, with two engines devoloping 500 horsepower, which give a speed of ten milers (16 kilometers) an hour. The sea Mule can be shipped in units on railway cars and ocean-going ships, and can be assembled in a few hours. More maneuverable than the old type tug, is built for habor, canal and sea duty and can either tow or push barges.
