United Nations flag day celebrated in U.S.A. American servicemen pledge allegiance tot the Flag of the US in the lower plaza of Rockefeller Center in New York City, during ceremonies marking United Nations Flag Day on june 14, 1944. In proclaiming the day, Franklin D. Roosevelt, President of the U.S., called upon all Americans to display our flag proudly as well as the flags of all the United Nations which fight besides us, to symbolize our joint brother-hood, our joint dedication, under God, to the cause of unity and the freedom of men.
