How women do men's war jobs. Girl Factory Messengers On Bicycles. On the U.S. Pacific Coast in a large plant manufacturing warplanes messages between departments are carried by girls on bicycles. This is one type of many jobs requiring no special skill being done by American girls and women in U.S. war factories. Other women workers in the same plants run drill procces, lathos, milling machines and even more complicated equipment after a course of training made available either by the U.S. government or by the private enterprise which employs them. Girl messengers are cycling past a 33-ton PB-27 Navy patrol bomber which will soon be making transoceanig flights.
