U.S. Army Air Force exhibit opens in Paris. Parisians inspect a B-17 Flying Fortress, specially equipped with plexiglass, to permit a view of its interior, at the U.S. Army Air Forces Exposition beneath the Eiffel Tower in Paris, which opened to the general public August 1, 1945. Approximately 75,000 people jammed the exhibit the first day to see veteran Flying Fortresses, Liberators, Black Widows, Thunderbolts, gliders and transport planes. Free movies will be shown daily at the Exposition, which will be shown daily at the Exposition, which will run for two months.
