French Army returns to France.
1944
French Army returns to France. French soldiers march through the streets of an English seaport town to their mess hall immediately before embarkation to France. Trained in the Tchad region of French Equatorial Africa, the men are members of the crack regiment which made the famous march in 1942 from Tchad across the desert to join Allied forces in North Africa. Once more they have joined the Allies - this time in France - to battle the Nazis for their country's liberation.
