New posts for use when a set become too splintered for further use are propped up against the wall of the execution hall. The torture chambers were founf in a building on the grounds of the Ministry of Aviation in Paris after the liberation of the French capital August 25, 1944. Formerly a rifle range, it was converted into a fireproof and soundproff structure where prisoners were either burned alive or tied to these posts and shot. The Germans first lashed their victims to a grille like a wire fence which was electrified but not enough to kill.
