U.S. troops move up in France. A heavy U.S. gun moves up through Torigny-sur-Vire during the spectacular Allied advance on Brittany which resulted in U.S. troops cutting off the whole of the Breton Peninsula with its three great ports of Brest, Lorient and St. Nazaire.
