American Military Government in Germany. Members of the U.S. Military Government detachment who control Bayreuth are seen in conference. Most of these officers received extensive special training for operations in this city. Entering the city on the heels of the forward troops who conquered it, the detachment's officers were already familiair with the layout of the community, its main buildings, its officials and local government. They had been briefed on what property and files to seize, which persons to apprehend and other "lightning"steps to assure smooth operations in Bayreuth.
